"Telma Buia and the Cultural Heritage of Fernando de Noronha" tells the story about a species of lizard typical of the island, known as "mabuia", that hid in a tourist's backpack, eventually straying far from home and embarking on the greatest adventure of her life. She visited churches, forts, and ruins, and learned a great deal about the history of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago. Telma also met other animals on the island and made new friends. About the authors: 
"My name is Márcia Hazin; I am a historian and architect. Together with journalist Cláudia Prosini, I wrote this book dedicated to the cultural and environmental heritage of Fernando de Noronha—sites officially listed and protected by IPHAN.
The book also explores the archipelago's extraordinary environmental richness. Throughout her adventure, the character Mabuia encounters various species inhabiting the area, offering readers a playful and educational introduction to the island's biodiversity.
Through a narrative tailored especially for children and young people, the book aims to spark interest and knowledge, as well as a sense of belonging, regarding the preservation of this unique territory's cultural and natural heritage.
